JOC SNOWTUBING TRIP
First-Timers and Old-Timers welcome!

This is a trip that a month ago, we werent even sure was going to happen. Alas, winter came with a vengeance, and lo and behold, theres lots of snowtubing fun to be had!
Heres the info:

The seventh annual JOC snowtubing party is scheduled for Sunday night, Feb 11 at Campgaw, NJ, only 30 miles from the GW bridge.
This is one of JOCs biggest and most fun events of the year. Whether you
are new, and have been lurking on the list for a long time, or have been a
regular for the last 10 years, dont miss out!

The schedule is as follows:
4:30 pm: Carpools depart from NYC and other locations
5:15: Arrive at Campgaw.
5:15-6:00: Get tickets, enjoy light dinner (pita, spreads, veges, fruits,
drinks).
6:00 -  7:55 Snowtubing with clothes
7:55- 8:00: The annual JOC tradition of clothing optional snowtubing. Three
years ago, 8 brave men went shirtless. Two years, we went in just boxers. Last year, tighty whities.
For this year --  has anyone seen Borat? Well, his bathing suit was nothing....

PRICE

The price of the event is, as usual for JOC, is near or close to cost.  $29
includes 2 hour snowtubing session and light dinner.

Please note that well wont be doing the bus this year (costs went through the roof)

PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN ADVANCE! Please see payment details below.

A few misc Q and A:

WHAT IS THE TUBING LIKE?
The tubing largely depends on weather conditions.  Sometimes the course
is fast and icy, other times it is more slushy (which makes for great
snowball conditions). Either way, youll have a great time!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
If you have ski pants, thats your best bet.  Otherwise, wear whatever
is most resistant to water.  Layer up since it will likely be
cold, but if you get too cold, you can always take a break and go inside.
Skirts are doable, but not recommended.
If you have reason to believe that I, or other mischievous folk, will be
tripping you from behind with tubes, then wear butt pads :)

IS THIS FOR SINGLES ONLY?
No! JOC is an outdoors club open to all, although, a vast majority of
attendees will be single.

HOW WILL RIDES WORK?
Next week, I will send out a list of drivers with contact info. It is your responsibility to then send some emails/calls to find a ride. We will make sure to have enough drivers, and I will help you if you are having trouble. This system has worked surprisingly well in the past.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE?
Payment must be received by Tuesday, Feb 6 in order to register.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Please email me the following:
A) Your full name
B) Your email address (please retype it - it makes my life a lot easier)
C) Your phone numbers
D) Do you have a car? If so, where would you be leaving from, and with room for how many? Where else could you stop by to pick up passengers? (ie. Manhattan)

Please note that priority will be given to drivers.

 AND

A) Paypal the amount ($29) to
jewishoutdoorsclub@yahoo.com

If for whatever reason, you cant use paypal, please email me.

I can only sign you up once I have received payment -an email alone is not
enough to book your spot. The email is just to
create a separate email list.

Also, please note that this cost does not include paying drivers. The amount that JOC recommends is $8 a person.

BAD WEATHER?
Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the trip is postponed to
a future date to be decided. Please check emails on Sunday if you arent sure.

CANCELLATION POLICY?
Cancellations will be accepted up till Tuesday the 4th for a full
refund.  After that, I cannot offer a refund,
but you can find someone else to take your place and deal with the
reimbursement on your own with that person.

Hope you can come!
